NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Recording artist, author and speaker Tammy Trent returns July 29 with Stronger, her fifth studio album to date. Produced by Dove Award-winner Bernie Herms, as well as Doug Bieden, Stephen Marshall and Brian Steckler, the album features 11 selections, five of which were written or co-penned by Trent.
Signifying a new chapter both personally and musically, Stronger is a celebration of Trent’s hope and trust in Christ and an acknowledgment of His sovereignty through seasons of sorrow and joy. With a diversity of fresh pop anthems and reflective ballads, highlights of Stronger include “You’ve Already Shown Me,” “Edge of the Water,” “God of Impossibles,” “Beautiful,” and the project’s newly-released debut single, “Rain On Me.”
“My highest hope for the songs on Stronger is that listeners are somehow overwhelmed by the amazing reality that God desperately loves and cares about them and their circumstances. He truly is with us whenever, wherever, and forever,” Trent says. “I believe Stronger is a seamless flow of tracks that create a diverse landscape for messages of hope, inspiration, and putting our faith in Christ.“
In promotion of Stronger, Trent is slated to make several national media appearances this summer, including a release day appearance on FamilyNet Television’s “EveryDay with Marcus & Lisa.” Additionally, she will headline a series of women’s conferences and concerts in Australia and Singapore later this year.
Following the release of her self-titled debut in 1995, Trent quickly became a familiar voice on Christian radio with a string of hits, including “My Irreplaceable” and “Welcome Home.” She stepped away from the spotlight in 2001 after the tragic death of her husband in a diving accident, returning as a featured speaker and performer at Women of Faith conferences in 2003.
Trent’s first full-length recording in more than six years, I See Beautiful, bowed in 2006. In addition, her autobiography, Learning To Breathe Again: Choosing Life and Finding Hope After A Shattering Loss, released in 2004 from W Publishing, followed by the 2005 devotional/gift book, Beyond The Sorrow: There’s Hope in the Promises of God, from J. Countryman.
Stronger, a September Day Records release, will be distributed by Infinity Music Distribution.
